Olivier Desport arrived in Salvador de Bahia today at 14:30 Paris time after successfully completing the 4,500-mile Atlantic crossing. Olivier was welcomed by children from a local SEED-sponsored orphanage. LAS GeoMarket Manager Carlos Duarte will introduce Olivier and the Schlumberger Workplace 21 initiative at the Mini-Transat awards ceremony on November 9, to be attended by VIPs from Petrobras as well as the Governor of Salvador de Bahia. Olivier's remarkable achievement came during a three-month unpaid leave of absence made possible by Workplace 21. His boat was sponsored by SRPC. Congratulations to Olivier!
